KDG Kesomon in Flight

Keroso et'Thomasal es Embreisa Lo'blan'kiris, known as Keso, takes flight in the skies of Thesa.

This is an 18-second animated splash created in After Effects for a final project, converted to swf format for use on the web.

There are many things I dislike about this animation:

For starters, the After Effects render put an ugly black border on the sides, so I had to surround the top and bottom with the same ugly black border to disguise it short-term. For seconds, even though it put this black border on it, it left a little white line at the base, which is why the base is broken like that. Bah. Third, it rendered with Great Amounts of Artifacts, which sucks. Fourth, the flight animation is choppy and I couldn't fix it. Again, bah. And fifth, I have yet to figure out how to stop it looping, as its only supposed to play once.

But, for a first-time rendered movie, I think I did pretty okay.

There are many things I love about it though. First, the new logo is Shiny. Second, Keso's new wing patterns and tailfeathers are Shiny. Third, After Effects, for all its pains, is SHINY. I could never have done something like this in Flash on its own, because I'm not that patient.
